Scope & who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how SearchDaddy, Inc. (the Company, we) handles personal information when you visit our sites, request an audit, or use the Service. Where we process personal information on behalf of a business customer as a service provider, our Data Processing Addendum governs that processing and, in case of conflict, controls.
Operating entitySearchDaddy, Inc. is currently operated as a sole proprietorship pending incorporation. The data controller is that operator until a corporate entity is formed.
Information we collect
Information you provide
Contact and account details (name, business name, email, phone), the business and competitor information you submit for audits and monitoring, support communications, and billing details. Payment card data is collected and processed directly by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically
Device and usage data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and timestamps, collected through cookies and similar technologies to operate and secure the Service and understand usage.
Information from third parties
Publicly available business information and signals returned by AI engines and search-data providers when we run audits and monitoring on your behalf.
How we use information
- provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service, including the SoV metric, audits, and Done-for-You Services;
- run AI-engine queries and generate diagnostics and reports;
- process payments and manage Subscriptions;
- communicate about your account, support requests, and service updates;
- detect, prevent, and address security, fraud, or technical issues; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not use personal information to train our own general-purpose AI models, and we do not authorize our AI-engine providers to use Customer Data to train their models except as permitted by their enterprise/API terms that prohibit such training where applicable.
Prompts & AI engines
To measure your AI visibility, we send prompts and limited business information (such as your business name, category, and location) to third-party AI engines and their providers. These prompts are generally about businesses and categories rather than individuals, but they may include names of owner-operators where that is part of the business identity. We design prompts to avoid unnecessary personal information. The providers process this data under their own terms; see the recipients table below.
Cookies & analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to run the Service (for example, authentication, with the cookie scope set at the SearchDaddy, Inc. domain level) and, where applicable, to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser. Some features may not function without necessary cookies.
Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business and legal purposes, such as maintaining records, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. Audit and monitoring data is retained to provide historical trends. When no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Customer-specific retention may be set in the DPA.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Read more on our Security page.
Your California rights
If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it; to request access to and deletion of your personal information; to correct inaccurate information; and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, no opt-out of sale/sharing is required, but you may still exercise your other rights.
To make a request, email privacy@searchdaddy.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by law. You may use an authorized agent where permitted. Where we act as a service provider to a business customer, we will direct your request to that customer.
No sale of personal information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law.
Where data is processed
We and our providers process data in the United States and potentially other countries where those providers operate. Where data is transferred across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email, and the version and effective date above will be updated. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
